Dear Fellow Employee:
Welcome to Mightysoft, Inc.'s Annual
Awards Dinner.
The past year has been challenging,
but a rewarding year for all of us. Just think, last
year Mightysoft was about to file for bankruptcy.
But thanks to an innovative program called "DOORS",
which was developed by our Vice President Dana
Dorsey, Mightysoft is now the top company in
the software industry.
 |
Moreover, Dana claims
to have a state-of-the-art program that, when
installed, will protect all computers from any
Y2K bug. It is the only program of its kind in
the world and it promises to eliminate any and
all of our competition.
All that is needed is the signature from Mightysoft's
President, Blair Rhodes, to start distribution
to all of our customers. |
However, not everybody is happy about
Mightysoft's success. Tracy Nedd, who was
Senior Programmer for Mightysoft's main competitor,
Notsoft, claims that "DOORS" was originally
their program. Now Mightysoft's own Chief Financial
Officer was found dead in his office. At first it
was thought to be a murder, because the weapon used
in the killing belonged to the security guard, Jean
Claude Van Winkle. Fortunately, it was later ruled
a suicide when the Executive Secretary, Chris
Bacon, found a typed suicide note signed by the
CFO. The discovery of the suicide note was enthusiastically
received by the President's spouse, Rene Rhodes.
You see, a murder conviction of a fellow employee
would have been such an embarassment to Rene's father,
who is Chairman of Mightysoft.
Someone else will join the CFO today.
Pay attention to everything you see and hear. You
don't want to miss an important clue. Ask questions
when these characters come around to your table.
Anyone can be a suspect.
Remember, it's up to you to solve the
mystery and answer the question ...
Why
To Kill?
