Amber and Adam the perfect couple hoping for the perfect wedding at the historic Blair Mansion Inn. But Amber’s perfectly dysfunctional family refuses to be the icing on the cake. And when Amber’s sister, Darlene gives Amber a knife for a wedding present—well you get the point! And Amber’s husband is not all moon eyed in love as it turns out.

Maybe because Adam has a dark past he didn’t invite to the wedding. But a stranger appears anyway—a wedding crasher bearing tremulous tidings.

The Blair Mansion is an historic building going back to historic times –and some say with historic guests haunting the halls. But the history of this fabulous mansion has never been written—until now. With a Million Dollar Prize offered there’s a lot at sake for the writers gathering at the Mansion, waiting to make their pitch to see who is chosen to write a work of historical fiction about Silver Spring. But much more is at stake because it’s rumored that Clint Eastwood is interested in making a movie from the book.

The writers gathered also share a troubled history of tumultuous times with the front-runner for the commission, the renowned author Guy Arcane. And the slings and arrows of their turbulent past will sear the air and heighten the already tense competition. Ultimately the high stakes and Guy’s verbal attacks on his competitors’ leads to a murder—or does it? To make things more mysterious, certain Blair Mansion spirits are on hand to make sure these writers of historical fiction keep things “real.”
